After reading about the philosopher’s stone, Arakawa said that she became attracted to the idea of using alchemy in the manga. She liked it so much that she started reading books relating to alchemy, which she found very complicated because some books contradicted others. Arakawa was attracted more by the philosophical aspects than the practical aspects. For the Equivalent Exchange concept, she was inspired by the work of her parents who had a farm in Hokkaidō and always had to give all their effort in order to earn the money to eat.

In August 2008, Virgin Records filed a $30 million lawsuit, claiming the band refused to deliver three albums as required by its contract. According to the lawsuit, the band “repudiated” a 1999 contract in July. In an early 2009 interview with MTV, Jared said that they hope to have their third album out by summer 2009, and he also gave information about the meaning behind the record saying, “I think this record is about faith, about spiritual matters, and that just happens to be what we’re thinking about and talking about in our lives right now. I said when the last album came out that I wanted to destroy the first record, which I think we did. We took a dramatic turn from the first to the second, and I think this new record follows that path. It’s exciting to us, and we’re really passionate about it.”

Cowboy Bebop revolves around a crew of bounty hunters living in the spaceship named Bebop. They are a team of bounty hunters who travel the Solar System trying to apprehend bounties. Jet Black is the owner of the Bebop who has partnered with Spike Spiegel for his diverse combat skills. During their travels, the Bebop ship gained new crew members such as Ein, Faye, and Edward.

Throughout the series Bebop crew members’ pasts catch up with them, and the series regularly turns to the history of the main characters in flashbacks. Spike’s past as a syndicate enforcer is a major element of the series, while other episodes deal with Jet’s previous occupation as an ISSP officer on Ganymede, Faye’s mysterious past and significant debt problems, and Ed’s childhood. The day-to-day life of the crew is also explored throughout the series.

Skillet formed in 1996 with two members: John Cooper, former vocalist for Tennessee progressive rock band Seraph, and Ken Steorts, former guitarist for Urgent Cry. Final Fantasy Yuna

Yuna is a fictional character in the Final Fantasy series. She is the female protagonist of Final Fantasy X and the main protagonist of the sequel Final Fantasy X-2. She was designed by Enzo and voiced by Hedy Burress and Mayuko Aoki in the English and Japanese versions, respectively. In Final Fantasy X, she is the daughter of the High Summoner Braska, and seeks to becoming a High Summoner herself, with the help of Wakka and Lulu. She eventually meets up with protagonist Tidus. Due to the fan reaction for Yuna, the developers sought to create Final Fantasy X-2, starring her.

Delain was founded by Martijn Westerholt and Charlotte Wessels. Westerholt is the ex-keyboardist and brother of one of the founders of Within Temptation, Robert Westerholt. He left Within Temptation in 2001 when he suffered from Pfeiffer’s disease. Wessels was, at that time, an unknown singer living near Westerholt. They started Delain, as a project involving many of Westerholt’s friends in the Symphonic Metal Community, in 2002, and began recording the debut album in July 2005, after they had signed a contract with Roadrunner Records.

Sora is an original character created by Tetsuya Nomura, the protagonist of the series and the character that the player directly controls through a majority of the series. Sora’s weapon is the Kingdom Key Keyblade.Though not the original one chosen to wield the Keyblade, Sora was ultimately chosen over Riku because Sora’s heart was stronger, while Riku’s heart became vulnerable and temporarily weak. Nomura has stated that Sora’s name can be interpreted as “sky”; the Japanese word for sky is sora. He is voiced by Miyu Irino in the Japanese version and by Haley Joel Osment in the English version. As a child in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, he is voiced by Takuto Yoshinaga in the Japanese version and Luke Manriquez in the English version.

Kairi is a best friend of Sora and Riku, and one of the seven “Princesses of Heart”. She is an original character created by Tetsuya Nomura for the Kingdom Hearts series. Nomura has stated that Kairi’s name can be interpreted as “sea”; the Japanese on’yomi pronunciation of sea is kai . She is voiced by Risa Uchida in the Japanese version of the series and is voiced in English by Hayden Panettiere in the first two games as well as the prequel and Alyson Stoner in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. My Favorite Highway was an American pop rock band from Fairfax, Virginia, formed by cousins, Dave and Will Cook, in November 2004. They signed with Virgin Records in 2008 and re-released their 2008 album How to Call a Bluff on May 5, 2009. Lead guitarist, Pat Jenkins joined the band in 2006, original drummer, Bobby Morgenthaler, left the band in March of 2010. The band toured extensively during 2008-2009. Final Fantasy XIII also includes elements from the previous games, such as summoned monsters, chocobos and airships.

The game takes place in the fictional floating world of Cocoon, whose government, the Sanctum, is ordering a purge on civilians who have supposedly come into contact with those from Pulse, the much-feared world below. Lightning, a former soldier from Cocoon, begins her fight against the government in order to save her sister, who has been branded a Pulse l’Cie—unwilling servants to the beings known as the fal’Cie, who maintain order on both Cocoon and Pulse—and thus has become an enemy of Cocoon. Lightning is soon joined by a band of allies, and together the group also become l’Cie after their encounter with a Pulse fal’Cie. Together, they rally against the Sanctum, while also trying to discover their “Focus” as l’Cie—the tasks they must complete before their time comes to an end.

Lordi

Lordi is a Finnish hard rock band, which was formed in 1996 by the band’s lead singer, songwriter and costume-designer, Mr. Lordi. The band is known for wearing monster masks and using pyrotechnics during concerts.

Lordi made history in 2006 by winning the Eurovision Song Contest with a record 292 points, becoming the first Finnish band to win the contest. Lordi was featured on the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards in Copenhagen when the band’s frontman, Mr. Lordi, presented the award for rock. They were also the closing act, playing their single “Hard Rock Hallelujah”. They also performed on Britain’s Making Your Mind Up for the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi performed on the main stage at Ozzfest 2007 and later that year toured with Type O Negative and Twin Method until Halloween night.

A single Bleach artbook, All Colour But The Black, has been released in Japan, the United States, and Europe. The artbook compiles a selection of color spreads from the first 19 volumes of the series, as well as some original art and author commentary.

Four databooks have also been released about the series. The first two, Bleach: Official Character Book SOULs. and Bleach: Official Animation Book VIBEs., were released on February 3, 2006. Bleach: Official Character Book SOULs. was later released in English by Viz Media on November 18, 2008. The third databook, Bleach Official Bootleg: KaraBuri+ , was released on August 3, 2007. In addition to character guides and articles on other fictional aspects of the series, it compiles the various short comics, Tedious Everyday Tales Colorful Bleach , that were published in V Jump. The omake-style panels are similar to those included in the main series, but reveal more of the daily lives of characters. The fourth book, Bleach: Official Character Book 2: MASKED, was released on August 4, 2010. This book covers details about characters that appear 100 years prior to the story, such as former captains and lieutenants, along with the Arrancars and Visoreds. It should be noted that while it was released on the same day as Volume 46, Back From Blind, the book only covers material up to Volume 37, Beauty Is So Solitary.

CREED

Creed is a rock band from Tallahassee, Florida formed in 1994 that became popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band originally disbanded in 2004 after releasing three multi-platinum albums, selling 26 million records in the United States and an estimated 30 million records worldwide.

The band consists of vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips. They released two studio albums: My Own Prison (1997) and Human Clay (1999) before Marshall left the band in 2000 to be replaced by touring bassist Brett Hestla. Afterwards came Weathered (2001) with Mark Tremonti handling bass before the band disbanded in 2004. Tremonti, Phillips, and Marshall went on to found Alter Bridge while Stapp followed a solo career. After months of speculation, the original members of Creed reunited in 2009 for a tour and a new album called Full Circle. Creed was ranked the 18th most successful artist of the 2000s by Billboard. While often criticized and parodied, they are often also recognized as one of the leaders of the post-grunge movement of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and are one of the most commercially successful rock bands of all-time.

Overall, the band has released four studio albums, one compilation album, one live DVD, and seventeen singles.

Produced by Shirō Sagisu, 11 CD soundtracks have been released for the Bleach anime series and movies. Bleach Original Soundtrack 1 was released on May 18, 2005 and contains 25 tracks, including the first opening and ending themes in their original television lengths.[29] Bleach Original Soundtrack 2 followed on August 2, 2006 with an additional 23 instrumental tracks.Bleach Original Soundtrack 3 later followed on November 5, 2008 with 27 instrumental tracks.

Bleach Original Soundtrack 4 was released on December 16, 2009 with 30 instrumental tracks.Bleach: Memories of Nobody Original Soundtrack was released with 25 tracks from the Bleach: Memories of Nobody film. A soundtrack was also released for the Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion film, with nearly 30 tracks from the movie, followed by a third one for the Bleach: Fade to Black, I Call Your Name film, with 29 tracks. “From Yesterday” was filmed using 400 Chinese soldiers (they are seen holding flags at the beginning of the video) and 20 horses. The film starts with a young boy, presumably the Emperor Puyi, being asked what he would like for his birthday. He simply states “The Sound of Tomorrow.” The action then cuts to a plain white room with the band members, clad in white outfits similar to those worn in fencing, each doing their own thing in preparation for a show. A woman enters and tells them that it is time. She leads them out into the hall and disappears. They walk down to the end of the hall where they attempt to open the door. They are unable to. The lights start to flicker and they go out, leaving the band puzzled.

It then opens to another scene where the band is walking through giant gates into the row of Chinese soldiers. As they are all walking down, Jared notices a woman wearing a white mask walking on the exterior of the row, unnoticed by the others.

The band are then taken to the hall where the Emperor is situated, and are given scrolls. Jared then says to his brother, Shannon Leto (the band’s drummer): “This is a gift?”
